On the Solstice weekend, June 19-21 2004, more than 110 photographers in 32 countries around the world created VR panoramas with the common theme of World Heritage. This page showcases the results of my efforts.

France, Neuville-Saint-Vaast / La Targette

Nécropole
Nationale La Targette in Neuville-Saint-Vaast. A French World War I (1914 to 1918) cemetery with 11.443 burials and a mass grave of 3,882.

 

La Maison Blanche

Close to this cemetery British, Canadian and German cemeteries can be found. About 159,000 soldiers died in the 39 days of the Battle of Arras in 1917. Almost a century later, one wonders if we learnedanything from it all.
